The Heidenhain ROD 446 360 (IdNr 258 438 14) is an absolute rotary encoder used for high-precision angle measurement in machine tools, servo systems, and automated production equipment. Part of the ROD 400 series, it provides absolute position feedback without requiring a reference run after power-up.
