This listing is for 5 live Prairie Rabdotus, Rabdotus mooreanus, snails.  These snails are native to central Texas and Mexico where they live in dry, shortgrass prairies.  They are detritivores, feeding on decaying plant matter at ground level.  They are adapted to hot, dry summers where they can go into dormancy for several weeks at at time, only to emerge whenever the fall and spring rains come.  Since they are detritivores, native to the US, and not aggressive breeders, they are not listed on the USAPHIS list of noxious pest species as garden snails are.
