Title page printed in blue and black with decorative blue elements. Decorative head- and endpieces for text and list of plates. Contains photogravures of seventy-three masks on fifty plates, five of them polychrome, in color. Contains introductory text in French with descriptive text and place of origin at front.

Text in French. Covers lightly rubbed with minor ink sprinkles along text part along bottom of front cover. Light wear along edges and spine, with small closed tears and nicks in cloth of spine. Inside cover with light dam-staining along foredged and near gutter. Text pamphlet age-toned. Plate IX with small ink spots, vertically along left edge. Plates in very good condition. Good to very good condition.
