This bag comes to me from a friend of mine who we are in the process of helping sell her mother’s estate. This is one of my very best friends. Their family is originally from Louisiana. I actually have two beds that are identical. I am selling them separately because combined shipping is not an option for beds like this. These beds have a history. They come from Louisiana and they were part of the leopard colony. If you’re not aware, the leopard colony, it was almost as if it was a prison for people who were suffering from leprosy. And these bags were used to those people. The family that I’m consigning for came from Louisiana. And they purchased these beds back then after leprosy was no longer the issue back then. So these beds are definitely from the 1800s. You can clearly tell because some of the wood that you can see Inside. There’s a couple flaws with each bed. I am calling this bed number two.
Bed number two features nothing cracked or broken. The bed is solid structurally. There’s a few cosmetic flaws. There are scratches, chick and dents. . Things that would be consistent with an older bed. but in this case, it gives history. Just thinking what these were used for and how they were used as a pretty special thing. In the modern era, these beds were used in a guest room and they were side-by-side with a table in between them. Their last location was a smoke-free home.

And I’m here to answer any questions that you might have pertaining to the size of everything. Lastly, if you are not in a rush to receive this bed. We define not in a rush as one to three months from day of purchase, you may contact us. We are a moving company and do deliveries throughout the country. we typically provide two options. If you meet us along our route, we bring the items out for no additional fees. We’ll just help you transfer them to your vehicle and you can go from there. If you’re looking for direct delivery, we do charge based on the time and fuel off of our route.
