Please take a moment to read the description, condition and browse the photos. Description: Kristina Augustina Nemethy (b.1950) is one of the twin sisters of Albert Nemethy and sibling of five. She was born in 1950, Germany and arrived to New York City at age one. In her later years, her father found that the town of Newburgh was where this family of artists can flourish. She was raised with strong influences and was inspired by the surrounding artistic values that reached all of the siblings; who all eventually became artists. Julien, Georgina, Albert, George and Veronica; whose paintings you may spot at auction halls upstate New York.
This painting is a wonderful watercolor on paper. It depicts a beautiful sunrise with cows off in the valley grazing. A mountain is off to the left appearing very western, quite possibly the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico. A tree stands alone to the right surrounded by colorful wild flowers. The colors are bright and glowing, the painting is just magnificent. It is housed in a simple oak wood molding frame with gilt rabbit and hand painted white mat with protective glass front. It is signed lower left Augustina Nemethy, She also signed paintings Kristina Nemethy and Kristina Augusta Nemethy as she changed and experimented with her styles over the years. The painting is so beautiful with several layers of landscape as you look into the painting. It is ready to hang and will sure make a great impression on your wall.
Measures; sight size 9" x 11 5/8", framed 15 1/2" x 19 1/2"

Condition:

Overall very good condition. Frame got burned in lower left, it does not show on front other than it looks like a smoothed out wood check, you can see the char on back which is smooth and clean (no odors or black on your fingers). Please view all photos as they are part of the description.
