for sale is a vintage Contemporary Record 52 1/2 quick release under mount bench mount vise made in England. It is a recent find it is in very good little used condition. The previous owner had it mounted on his  work bench, but never attached wood blocks to the insides of the jaws. The jaws are 9'' wide and the maximum opening capacity is 13 1/2''. The vise operates perfectly in both opening and closing modes. The first mode, is the hand cranking/tightening  is smooth and easy. The second mode, Quick release operates perfectly as well.  The vise has been lightly cleaned on some of the surface rust areas. There is still some surface rust on the quick release slide bar  and that will need cleaning.  The original paint is mostly all present. There is only a few small areas of missing paint finish.  The vise weighs 34.6 pounds as pictured. The total length of the vise is about 22 inches long.     Please see all pictures for condition.
