These high quality dressmaking scissors are produced using high carbon steel after developments by generations of craftsmen. They will keep their edge much longer than stainless steel and will be much sharper. As with all quality high carbon products this tool must be cared for appropriately, keep your scissors dry and if they are not in use for an extended time coat them with a thin layer of oil wipe off the oil with a dry cloth before using.
