Here's a very scarce early pontiled medicine bottle that may be from Bangor, Maine but I'm not sure?....HUNTER'S SPECIFIC boldly emb on front panel.....Jagged open pontil....crude applied tapered lip...aqua..rect...5"tall...Excellent condition with no chips or damage. A nice clean bottle with no haze. Lightly tumbled. Bold crisp embossing. There was a Hunters Specific London bottle on ebay a few years ago, but this bottle is not British. There are actually several different pontiled Hunter's medicine bottles, but this particular Hunter's Specific is not listed...There is an early pontiled Hunter's Pulmonary Balsam from Bangor, Maine...my guess is that this bottle may be from that same Hunter?.
