This is still in the original packaging as a free gift from Readers Digest with purchase. The packaging does have a small 1” tear along the seam on a corner. I was able to count for sure 5 placemats without opening it up. I can’t tell for sure what the backs look like since there is cardboard on that side of the packaging.
