The SR 71 Blackbird Crash Site Relic is a unique and historical piece of aviation memorabilia from the famous SR 71 Blackbird military aircraft. This specimen comes from ship #953 which crashed on 18 December 1969 near Shoshone. California.  The crew safely ejected from the I'll fated ship.


This specimen is a a titanium skin fragment.  There are remnants of black paint on both sides.  Shiny, silver titanium visible on the broken edges. Beautiful shape and form.  A display masterpiece

The cause of the accident was attributed to a errant piece of rolled up duct tape!
