Rare statue of Buddha carved in schist
Bas relief element in gray schist representing the Buddha seated in padmasana on a base
draped, placed in front of a stylized mandorla, he is represented with hands clasped in Dhyana mudra, seated in meditation on a throne, surmounted by a halo.
He is adorned with a large necklace and large earrings, his hair is held in place by a turban.
Remarkably well sculpted piece, the face is imbued with serenity, the features are precise,.
Dimensions: height 20.2 cm - width 11.5 cm (dimensions with base: height 26 cm - width 14 cm)
Excellent conservation condition, slight lack of halo.
