1823 O.102 R4 Patched 3 Capped Bust half dollar, PCGS VG8.  Note that this is Die State 102.1, as described by the very informative, new BHNC publication, "Die State Progressions of the Capped Bust Half Dollar Die Varieties 1807-1836" (which is available from us exclusively, either here on ebay or on our website).  A very pleasing, original, medium golden gray example of this scarce Overton variety and extremely popular Redbook staple.  The surfaces are smooth and trouble-free, the eye appeal is quite good and yet this should be very affordable.  But that little detail is left entirely to you!  Thanks for your participation, and good luck!
