This auction is for a vintage Sears & Roebuck Co. Double Mantle Lantern Model No. 476.74070 No. 7114. Lantern is dated 3/66 on the bottom. It has not been lit or tested but appears to have been very lightly used and looks to be in very good condition for age. Metal all quite clean and shiny with label completely intact and legible. I did not do alot of cleaning to it and just lightly wiped off with a damp rag so is in "as found" condition. It has the large black vent top and still has a vibrant blue color to the base. Both top and base have very little paint loss or discoloration for age. It comes with an original glass Pyrex globe that is in very nice clean condition with no chips or cracks. Handle easily moves up and down and is not bent anywhere. This is truly a beautiful lantern for use or to add to your vintage lantern collection. It has a good bit of weight to it weighing just over 4 1/2#. It will be packed securely but please let me know at auction's end if you wish insurance on it and I will add it to your invoice.
