The Freda L. Reiter (1919-1986) Pastel & Charcoal Drawing of a woman from 1961 is a unique and one-of-a-kind piece of art measuring 16 1/2" x 14 1/2". The mat window size is 9 3/4" x 8 1/4" This framed drawing features the signature of the artist, Freda L. Reiter, and was created in her contemporary style of modernism during the period of 1960-1969. Reiter is best known as a Philadelphia area courtroom sketch artist and illustrator. The drawing is an original work, depicting a portrait of a woman in Pennsylvania, USA, making it a valuable and timeless addition to any art collection. A drawing of the same woman entitled "Margret" was produced by Reiter in 1948. This is likely the wife of Freda Reiter's husband's brother, but more research is needed. The drawing sheet is free of spots and stains. There are no smears.  There is a horizontal crease in the paper as highlighted in the last photograph. This is only visible on close inspection. The sheet has been laid down on paperboard. The frame is in excellent condition with a gold finish and triple mat.
