Jaguar S Type R 4.2 V8 Supercharged
Fabulous car, amazing performance.
Enthusiast owned, Mine for many years, I liked it so much I've owned it twice! First purchased 2012, sold in 2014 to a friend due to a long commute, bought it back in 2018 and its been with me ever since.
Truly an amazing car which I have cherished over the years. Unfortunately now its got to go, she does need some work which I just cant handle right now due to needing a hip replacement.
I have every bill for everything I have ever spent on the car in my ownership and I think pretty much everything for when I didn't own it.
Mileage has just gone over 92K
There is a problem which needs sorting.
Two weeks after the MOT in March this year the electronic handbrake has thrown a wobbly, it may just be as simple as a code reset, it may need a new actuator or it may be the control unit which is at fault, I just don't know and due to my current medical issue I have just run out of steam with it and parked it.
The parkbrake system is disconnected in the boot so the car is driveable and isn't constantly bonging at you, as a result of this the cruise control is also inop. Cruise will work fine once everything is connected back up.
Other than the handbrake issue the headlining has drooped, I had plans to change it but due to the handbrake issue I put that on the back burner, its not noticeable when your driving the car.
The parking sensors need re-programming, I had a Jag specialist look at this last year, he was part way through re-programming and found two sensors that were not working and he couldn't go any further. the sensors have been changed but I didn't take the car back to finish the re-programming.
Aircon needs a re-gas.
All the above sounds terrible and makes it sound like a right heap but it really isn't, The car has a new battery, starts first time without issue and runs like a dream, gearbox is fine as are the brakes (with the exception of the handbrake), Caldoofy intake fitted and smaller blower pulley for a bit more oomph.
Bodily its really good for a 21 year old car and cleans up really nicely, its always been handwashed by me so hasn't got any swirl marks, it will need a thorough clean inside and out but physically I just cant do it.
Its got a highway digital radio fitted which works well.
ULEZ compliant.
Two working remote keys.
The plate will not be going with the car, I'll get the original plate back on it for the new owner.
These cars are appreciating in value and with all the issues sorted would be worth around £10K.
Come and have a look, I'll take you for a test drive.
I will take a reasonable offer, no messers please, I'll need the full funds in my account (Bank Transfer preferred over cash) before the new owner drives the car away.
Thanks for looking.
