Info From Ewenny Pottery

Every piece of pottery is handmade in the workshop

It is thrown on the wheel, handled and then left to dry for at least four days

It is cleaned and the famous Ewenny Pottery signature is handwritten on the bottom

Once there is enough pots for a kiln, it is packed and fired to 1000oC

Electric kilns are used and it takes about two days from firing up, reaching temperature, to cooling

The pot is then ready to be glazed
