This Salt-and-Pepper Schnauzer Figurine is a charming ceramic dog collectible from Japan. The dog sculpture finely represents the breed's distinctive features, such as a thick beard, moustache and arched eyebrows. The neatly groomed wiry coat is nicely painted in Salt and Pepper pattern.
The Schnauzer Dog Figurine would make a wonderful gift for those who love this lovable dog breed, or a lovely addition to any dog lover's collection.
This porcelain dog figurine was made in 2022 and put away in a warehouse. Never displayed, but just noticed that it has cracks in its glazed surface. Please look at the photos carefully.

This dog figurine was cast from a vintage mold, which has probably been used (by Lefton?) since the '70s or '80s.
In those days, a large quantity of dog figurines was produced in Japan and exported worldwide under various brand names, such as Shafford, Napco or Lefton... Those manufacturers now no longer exist and their dog figurines are still available only in small quantities.
It has manufacturer's name 長江陶業 (Nagae Tougyou) on the belly with a sticker that reads "Seto-yaki"(瀬戸焼). 'Seto-yaki' is a general term for porcelain products made in Seto Japan, which includes all kinds of porcelain items such as animal, human, Disney and more figurines, and also chinaware for practical as well as decorative purposes. "Seto" is a city located in the center of Japan, and is also the center for Japan's ceramics industry.
