The adaptor is in good condition and is fully intact with no damage to the film transport mechanism or housing.
It is noted that there is some yellowing or discolouration to the front plastics, which is common on many examples of this accessory and does not affect operation in any way. Buyers concerned with cosmetic originality may wish to investigate modern Retrobright restoration techniques using hydrogen peroxide treatments, although many users simply leave the adaptor untouched.
The adaptor opens easily for cleaning and inspection and the internal mechanism appears clean and complete.

About the Nikon SA-21
The Nikon SA-21 is the automatic strip film adaptor designed for use with selected Nikon Coolscan dedicated film scanners. It allows automatic feeding and scanning of unmounted 35mm film strips, greatly improving productivity when digitising larger film collections.
The adaptor is particularly useful for photographers, photographic archives and film enthusiasts digitising colour negative film, black and white negatives and chromes held in strip form rather than mounted slides.
Compatible scanners include models within the Nikon Coolscan range that support the SA-21 automatic film strip adaptor system, including a number of Coolscan III, Coolscan IV ED and Coolscan V ED installations depending upon scanner configuration and supplied accessories.
