This lovely 12 " tall young lady is a German Breather Style doll with 4 perfect tiny teeth in an open mouth. She came to me from a family estate & I believe she may be Victorian era. She has what I think may be her original human hair or mohair wig. Her grey blue eyes open & close. Her shoulder mold head head is in wonderful shape, but has become detached from her sawdust stuffed cloth & "Kid" (Like oil cloth} bodyThe head is marked on the back with what looks to me like Q or possibly G br 170 Germany. I have not been able to determine the maker. She came to me dressed in period style clothes that were handmade at a much later date. The slip & panteloons shows some yellowing & foxing so possibly may have been made earlier than the 2 piece dress. The bisque hands appear a bit cruder than the head. The body was badly leaking sawdust at the neck so I have safety pinned it closed. She has always lived in a nonsmoking adult home.
I am not a doll expert so I cannot guarantee all information about age, wig, etc. If you are knowlegable, I would appreciate more information about her & will post information if it seems accurate. I have tried to show as many details about her as I can in my pictures.
