Vintage Akai Boombox, Model #AJ-C1FS. Features AM/FM/SW Radio, Metal Tape Playback, 3-Motor Feathertouch Logic Control, AUX & Phono Inputs. In average condition, sold "for parts or repair". A very rare find.

Tested from phone via auxiliary RCA inputs. Right channel is not working and left channel is very faint. Sounded better through headphones but still left channel only. In order to test this boombox, I needed to add the green wire to RCA adaptors shown in photo as the previous owner had cut the speaker wires (for reasons unknown).

Cassette tries to move but can't. Radio is just static - doesn't tune as digital display is not working (may need batteries to display properly).

Light scratches on the fascia, some marks on body, some tears in speaker cover felt. Arial is missing its top half.

Battery compartment looks to have had a previous battery leak. One wire broken away from battery cradle as shown in photos.

A very heavy and solid unit. Would have been nice in its day. Includes power cable.

Will be packed well with bubblewrap. Local pickup not available, sorry for any inconvenience.
