Original WW2 period German field flask / canteen cap, found in the Kurland Pocket battlefield area in Latvia.

This appears to be a steel version of a German military canteen screw cap. It has the typical threaded construction and top rivet area for the retaining tab, but no clear maker marking is visible.

Found in the Kurzemes katls / Kurland Pocket area, where many German military personal items and field equipment were left during the final battles of 1944 to 1945.

Battlefield relic condition with heavy rust, corrosion, wear and signs of long term ground storage. Sold exactly as shown in the photos.
