Vintage circa 1961 to 1962 brunette painted hair Kendall, 12 in. And ready to be added to your collection!

This doll is being sold as is and as shown. He has straight legs and arms that hold position well. He has some discoloration on his face and hair that's got paint rubs but will leave cleaning of him up to you so it's not to damage him in any way. His fingers and feet and toes are all intact. There are some marks on the body just from being stored for many decades. His butt has a mark that looks like it says c1958 or 1959 and then Mattel, Inc Hawthorne, Calif, USA. I don't see this specific hallmark in any of the doll ID guides, so this may very well be a prototype. It has a very dusty almost smoke like smell to it from being stored up in the attic in a drawer.
