Antique Pair of French Orientalist Spelter Figures – After Auguste Moreau – c.1900
A striking and decorative pair of late 19th / early 20th century cold-painted spelter figures, depicting two Orientalist male figures in traditional dress. These figures are in the style of Auguste Moreau and are typical of French or Austrian production from around 1880–1910, made as decorative works inspired by the popular Orientalist movement of the period.
Somd wear to the paint work but no huge amount of damage. They have a good patina and colour to them.
