This is a beautiful  vintage antique solid brass mortar and pestle set, likely from the 19th or early 20th century. The heavy, durable construction suggests it was used for grinding spices, herbs, or medicinal ingredients. The mortar has a classic rounded form with a thick, sturdy base. The brass has developed a rich patina over time, adding to its vintage charm.
