😂 Always Look on the Bright Side of Life: A Sortabiography by Eric Idle (2018 Hardcover)

For sale is the witty and candid memoir from Monty Python founding member Eric Idle — titled after the iconic song he wrote for Monty Python’s Life of Brian, which has since become one of the most requested songs at British funerals.

In this entertaining “sortabiography,” Idle reflects on his life with his signature humour: from a tough childhood and boarding school days, through the explosive success of Monty Python, creating Spamalot, and his close friendships with legends like George Harrison, Robin Williams, David Bowie, and many more. Packed with behind-the-scenes Python stories, celebrity anecdotes, and heartfelt moments (including reflections on loss), it’s a hilarious and touching look at five decades in comedy, theatre, and film.
