These chopstick rests are inspired by mizuhiki, a traditional Japanese decorative art form made from intricately tied cords, and are crafted from 100% tin.
From left to right, the designs represent the following knots: Kano (wish-fulfilling) knot, Aioi (harmonious pair) knot, Awaji knot, Katacho (single butterfly) knot, and Daki-awaji knot.
Each knot carries an auspicious meaning and symbolizes good fortune.
Care Instructions
After use, wash gently with a soft cloth or sponge using a mild kitchen detergent.
If the surface loses its shine, polish it with a commercially available metal polish, toothpaste, or baking soda to restore its lustre.
