Description

This is a very nice, very lightly circulated, Ten Cent "Fractional Currency" note from "British" Hong Kong. It was issued in 1945 just at the end of World War II.

These notes were issued because of a coin shortage due to the disruptions of World War II. The war was ending and the Japanese were still in Hong Kong until August of 1945.

"Standard Catalog of World Paper Money" (General Issues 1368-1960) by Albert Pick. #323.

Face: Red on grayish underprint. • King George VI.

Back: Uniface,

The Notes: It has been gently folded in half, not otherwise. It has no edge or body tears but does have a single microscopic pinhole. The note will be sent in a new currency holder that protects it. As grading is subjective, please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
