This is used, has signs of use eg marks, scratches, discolouration in parts and dusty in the creases but even with these - it is still a well designed and constructed piece, just waiting to be enjoyed. I think it looks great against lighter colour furniture as a decorative piece. It uses an AA battery, it works and ticks but not very loudly. Please note that due to restrictions at the post office - it will not be shipped with the battery.

Please note that the glass at the front rattles when moved so it may need to be reinforced by a professional - it currently has two nails at the inside to help to keep the glass in place - please see last set of photos. The back door is also missing the handle, in order to open it to put the battery in I had to slide a knife just where the original handle was, again - please see last set of photos showing the 'ball'.

 

The top 'handle' is metal and can turn, the main brown bit is wooden, the latch at the side is metal.

It is a striking piece, so even if not used as a clock would look great as a decorative item - maybe possibly paint it white and use as a decor for a wedding ....change the colour, paint it red/gold and use as a decor for Christmas in a high end boutique hotel/shop / watch shop, even better add a medium and a smaller one and display as a trio set.....or it could just be great as props for the next block buster period drama / movie.
