Antique Pair of Figural Brass-Plated Spelter Vases – Art Nouveau Nude Nymphs
Very old pair of weighted brass-plated spelter genie bottle vases with applied nymphs in different positions. Nude female figures are in different poses. Unmarked. Likely date from the turn of the last century when plated spelter decor was popular.
Very heavy vases are quite unique, we have never seen anything like them. This pair would be excellent on a mantel or on a shelf.
SIZE 7 3/4" tall x 4 1/4" wide (with extended leg). weight: 4lb 12 oz
CONDITION Patina. Spots. Please look closely at all pictures. We have not polished them. They are exactly as found. Also, one of the nymphs came off, we glued her securely back in postition.
This is an antique item. It has a history. Every attempt is made to describe it accurately, please examine photos carefully.
