Liner #1 SitRep: This green one is a cotton duck version of the 'P64' INFANTRY model and is in pretty good overall condition. There's a stamp in the crown which reads "US 24". This translates as: U.S. Government owned mold #24 and was leased by Westinghouse. The stamp on the suspension reads: 21 JULY 1964 (I think). The headband is from 1982, and the nape strap is from 1985 (Both of these were replaced often). The left decal indicates the 80th Training Command and the right decal is their Distinctive Unit insignia. The biggest flaws of the liner are: 1) It has the original paint, but it's seen better days 2) The 'A' washers and headband clips show some rust/patina. And 3) There is a little fraying in places along the edge. All that aside, it's in good shape and - it's COMPLETE. (Most liners on eBay are missing the nape strap... at the very least.)
Liner #2 SitRep: This light-yellow one is an orange nylon version of the 'P64' INFANTRY model and is in pretty good overall condition. There's a stamp in the crown which "M8". This translates as: Made by Marmac, mold #8. The stamp on the suspension reads: 24FEB72. The headband is from 1972, and the nape strap is from 1985 (it was missing a nape strap when I bought it, so I attached one of my spares). The left decal indicates the Quartermaster Center School, and the right decal is their Distinctive Unit insignia. The biggest flaws of the liner are: 1) It's been repainted at least once, and the current paintjob has seen better days 2) The 'A' washers and headband clips show some rust/patina. And 3) There is fraying in places along the edge. All that aside, it's COMPLETE and is in pretty good shape for the shape it's in. I can take more pics of either one, if needed.
