Really unusual peso here. I think this coin may have been gold washed at some point to pass it off as gold piece. Virtually no discernable wear on this coin.  Look at eagles breast. I brought these coins back from the Philippines as I was stationed in Olongapo Philippines in the 1970s.  As always in all my auctions these coins are guaranteed authentic and genuine and never cleaned or monkeyed with in any way.  Money back guarantee.  The 1909-S Philippine Peso Silver Foreign Coin is a circulated coin from the historical period of U.S. rule in the Philippines between 1898-1946. This particular coin is made of silver with a fineness of 0.8, showcasing a unique gold toning. Although it is ungraded and uncertified, this rare collectible piece offers a glimpse into the history and culture of the Philippines during that time period, making it a valuable addition to any coin collection focused on world coins or Asian currencies.
