This is a vintage Japanese Bamboo Teaspoon (Chashaku) for tea ceremonies, which was made by the 1st class artisan, Muneatsu Kagebayashi (1946- ) about 30 years ago.
Chashaku is one of essential items to enjoy tea ceremonies. It is the tool to scoop Matcha powder from a tea caddy.
The bamboo storage box and the original wooden box with the signature of the artisan are also included.
