Supertech's forged piston set is engineered for the Mini Cooper S and John Cooper Works R56 running the N18 1.6L turbo engine, built to handle serious boost and nitrous without sacrificing reliability. Forged from high-silicone 4032 aluminum alloy through a multi-stage process that aligns grain structure with stress paths, these pistons have been proven to withstand up to 42 psi of boost on alcohol fuel.

Precision CNC machining ensures dimensional accuracy and balance across the set, with contact reduction grooves and a phosphate dry lubricant coating protecting against micro-welding and improving skirt-to-cylinder lubrication. Chrome-moly wrist pins with wire clip locks round out a set built for both street-boosted and race applications.

This +0.5mm oversize set (77.50mm bore, 10:1 compression) is sold without rings -- pair with ring set R77.5-GNH7750 for a complete rebuild. Confirm engine code (N18, not N14) and required overbore before ordering, as Supertech offers multiple closely-numbered bore/compression variants for this platform.
