Vintage Japanese Umbrella Old Parasol with Printed Cotton Floral Fabric - DAMAGED !

Mid 1950's, this parasol has a printed floral cotton fabric in pinks, blues, red and pale greens.  This has a damage to one of the short wooden stretchers that attach to the long ribs, please see 2nd image.  I was able to set it back into the runner, but it is most likely to pop out again unless it is repaired.  I never opened this to the full extent to keep the stretcher from doing any further damage and in case I could not re-close the parasol.  So please do understand that you are purchasing this AS IS.

It does show wear overall, including the  handle and the narrow leather strap as shown.  

A lovely old parasol and worthy of repair if you can manage that.
