Yes. When connecting to a Smart TV, keep the transmitter powered off and pair the headphones directly to your TV.
Can I have audio through my TV speakers & wireless headphones at the same time?

It depends on your TV. Some TVs can play sound through both the speakers & headphones at the same time. If not, consider the Avantree Opera Plus, which allows simultaneous playback through both an external speaker and your wireless headphones.
How can I tell if the Ensemble is compatible with my TV?
