Hi I am selling some of my odd items I have collected over the years. Here is a Vintage WW1 Bronze Death Penny- Lance Corporal Joseph Broomhall Service No. 19019, a soldier who served in the British Army during World War I (1914-1918). The Death Penny was a commemorative plaque given to the families of fallen soldiers. This particular item was manufactured in the United Kingdom and is a significant piece of militaria collectable from that era.
D Joseph Broomhall served with the 9th Bn. Worcestershire Regiment . and died on 3rd May 1916. He is remembered with honour at Amara War Cemetery . There are some signs of patina as per photos.
