UNUSUAL & Original vintage Mid Century Modern MURANO Abstract FLOWER Form GLASS Candy Dish Bowl with Golden AVENTURINE & CHEERY Yellow Swirls over a WHITE and CLEAR Cased Glass base, entirely hand made by a glass artisan.
Unusual abstract flower form with clear glass pulled lobes beneath. The spiky swirls of canary yellow and aventurine are unlike any other pieces we have seen.
Has some visible tooling marks in the glass (made as it was shaped) and bubbles suggesting this may have been a journeyman piece - maybe why the design is so unusual.
Polished base.
About 11 1/2" long x 8 1/2" wide x 2 1/4" tall.
Very nice condition - no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Surface irregularities that have been part of the piece since new, like many hand-blown pieces.
