The Dedham Pottery Santa Claus is a collectible figurine produced by Dedham Pottery, a renowned American art pottery company founded in Dedham, Massachusetts, in 1896. Known for its distinctive ox blood, volcanic, and intentional crackled glazes, the Santa Claus figurine is part of a beloved line of holiday-themed pieces that feature the iconic Dedham rabbit trademark.  The h155 designation refers to the specific model number used in collector catalogs.

Dedham Pottery operated from 1896 to 1943 and was masterminded by Hugh Cornwall Robertson, an internationally acclaimed potter whose work earned praise from House Beautiful magazine in 1897 as “The Best American Pottery.” Today, authentic pieces like the h155 Santa are highly sought after by collectors, with values influenced by condition, rarity, and provenance.
