【Installation Recommendations】:We recommend Lag Bolts to attach the bracket to the stringer as well as the tread to the bracket. When attaching the lag bolts always pre-drill and use bees wax to lubricate the bolt prior to screwing them into the wood to keep from splintering.
【Selection of Installation Screws】:5/8" can be used for the bracket to stringer and 3/8" can be used for the bracket to tread. The length of the bolt we vary depending on the width of the stringer beam and the thickness of the stair treads. (Example: for a 2.5" thick tread we would use a 2" long lag bolt. For a 4" wide stringer we would use a 2" long lag bolt for the left side and the right side.)
