Key Features & Condition:

• Head: Solid steel construction with a wide bit and a distinct octagonal hammer poll. The poll shows some mushrooming/character from honest use but remains solid.

• Nail Notch: Includes a clean, functional nail-pulling notch on the lower side of the blade.

• Handle: Fitted with a sturdy hardwood handle that shows beautiful grain. It feels secure in the head with no wobble.

Note to Collectors: While the maker's mark is no longer visible, the geometry of the head and the octagonal poll suggest a high-tier American manufacturer from the mid-20th century.

Condition: This is a "found" vintage tool. It has a nice aged patina with some surface pitting and wear consistent with age (see photos). The edge has been used and may require a light honing depending on your preference. The poll face (hammer end) shows a small casting void/pit and a surface stress line consistent with age and heavy workshop use.
