Cylinder Bore Size Principles:

Large Bore (>90mm): Choose a hone ¼" (3-6mm) larger than the measured bore size.

Medium Bore (60-90mm): Choose a hone 2-4mm larger than the measured bore size.

Small Bore (<60mm): Choose a hone 1-3mm larger than the measured bore size.

V8 Engine Compatibility: Both 105mm and 108mm hones suit typical V8 engines with 4" cylinder bores.

240 Grit: Suitable for most general applications/classic engines.

320 Grit: Suitable for modern engines requiring a finer finish.

Important Note: Always select a hone larger than the bore size (e.g., 83mm hone for an 80mm bore, not 80mm).
