?? Installation Tips – Vent Window Weatherstrip Seals

Tools You’ll Likely Need:
• Small flat-head screwdriver or trim tool
• Weatherstrip adhesive (optional, but recommended)
• Lubricant like silicone spray or soapy water
• Patience — it's a tight fit by design!

?? Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Remove the Vent Window Assembly (if needed):
    While some folks try to install these seals in-place, removing the entire vent window frame from the door will make it much easier to work with.

  2. Carefully Remove Old Seal:
    Pry out the old rubber seal using a small screwdriver or pick. Be gentle — don’t scratch or bend the chrome frame if you're reusing it.

  3. Clean the Channel Thoroughly:
    Use a degreaser or brake cleaner and a rag to clean out any old glue, rubber bits, or dirt. A clean channel ensures a better fit and seal.

  4. Test Fit the New Seal:
    Before applying any adhesive, dry-fit the new seal into the channel to get familiar with the corners and molded ends. It should seat firmly but may need a bit of pressure.

  5. Optional – Apply Weatherstrip Adhesive:
    For extra hold, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the metal channel—especially at the corners and around the top curve. Let it tack up per the adhesive instructions.

  6. Press Seal Into Place:
    Start at the corner or molded end and press the seal firmly into the channel. Work your way around slowly, using a trim tool or blunt screwdriver to help seat it evenly.

  7. Let It Settle:
    If you used adhesive, allow it to cure per the instructions before reinstalling the assembly or rolling the windows up/down.

??? Pro Tip:

Warm the seals slightly with a heat gun or leave them in the sun before installation — the rubber becomes more flexible and easier to seat.

Yes we do honor combined shipping for items purchased on the same day.  If you're buying multiple items, make your purchases and use the link to REQUEST AN INVOICE FROM THE SELLER.  This sends us all your items and allows us to put them on one invoice with combined shipping prior to you paying for it.  If you're in a rush, just pay for the items and we'll combine them on this end and refund the overage.  We do try and get your packages out asap, so combining shipping on items purchased days apart is typically not do-able as the original item would already be on it way.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: 
We have great rates shipping large items Internationally through FedEx International.  eBay doesn't list FedEx as an international shipper on their guidelines, only USPS and UPS.  For large items, send in a request for a quotation.  It runs about 70% off of their list price.  We can quote it here and get you an accurate quotation.

Combining sales on Global shipping orders can be confusing.  Currently the only way to combine multiple items to where you pay one shipping and one duties/customs fee is for you to put the items in your SHOPPING CART and request and invoice from inside the cart.  That is e bays solution currently.  If you purchase the items separately - they CAN NOT be combined while using e bays Global Shipping Program.  You MUST add the items to your shopping cart and then request the invoice from inside the shopping cart.  Hopefully they will streamline this process in the near future - but currently this is the ONLY way to combine international sales.

RETURN POLICY:
We accept returns for 30 days from invoice date as long as the item has not been altered, scratched, dented or installed.  Please use eBay's return program to process the return.

BACKORDER POLICY:
Occasionally our inventory count can be off.  If we sell a product and we discover it is not in stock - we will NOT backorder the item.  We will refund the item back to your account and cancel the order with a note of explanation allowing you to purchase the item elsewhere as we know your time and money are of great importance.
