Here we have for sale a vintage Omega De Ville cal.565 automatic gents watch, housed in a 9ct solid gold case.
First things first, the watch is listed as for repair as it needs:
Both of which are missing.
The watch came to me in this condition so I do not know the backstory behind the absence of these parts. To note, the movement is out of the case and was simply positioned in-situ for the images, however I know these components came together as I took the movement out of the case (some time ago).
On the plus side, the watch is actually in very nice condition and the cal.565 movement starts to run easily with a little shake, although clearly without a crown the watch has not been tested any further to this. The watch is fitted with a good quality Condor strap and has what looks to be a gold plated Omega buckle (some wear/[plating loss), and obviously has the solid gold and fully hallmarked case, again in very nice condition.
To be clear, this watch requires repair and is NOT ready to wear.
A nice easy project for someone.
Good luck and happy bidding!
If you are planning on bidding, please take a moment to read the following: Please note that due to repeated non-payments I will have to insist on payment as soon as possible after the end of the auction please (ideally, instantly). And remember folks - if you win an eBay auction you have entered into a contract to purchase that item, just like a real auction, and as per eBay's own terms and conditions you own the item and must make payment for it.
All my watches will be sent out via Royal Mail special delivery or First Class Signed For depending on the sale price. My postage costs are an estimate, some go through higher some slightly lower. I do of course combine postage costs for multiple purchases.
Unless otherwise stated, all my watches are in working order and keep time keeping to an acceptable level for a vintage watch, but as with any watch future accuracy, running, or water resistance cannot be guaranteed. You will receive the watch shown and described, which is usually a used, vintage item - please bear this in mind and be aware the watch WILL have signs of use. If you are looking for a perfect condition watch without a mark on it then I would suggest paying the premium required to purchase an equivalent new item. Please see my feedback and bid on my listings with confidence that my items are as described.
