Burberrys Men’s 1960s Nova Check Lined Trench Coat. Made in England.
Absolute quality construction as you’d expect. Has picked up a few mild marks with age (these are to the back part of the garment and are shown close up) as well as some damage to the bottom of the coat as shown close up again. This looks like something small and sharp has gone through both sides, and has left potentially some small holes and potentially burn? marks. This isn’t huge on either side and is shown close up. Couple of cracks to pocket buttons and one button has been replaced with a modern Burberry embossed button (Burberry didn’t emboss til the 80’s onward, hence the others being plain)
This is an extremely wearable coat and compliments many an outfit.
The coat is missing its size tag, though fits (and measures to) a Men’s 52R. The sleeves are maybe 1” shorter than what you’d expect on a modern day trench, though this was the style of the day and this looks fantastic. These are un-altered and match with all other Burberry coats of this era. It is a nice style as allows you to show a bit of your jacket/cuff underneath.
