Peptamen AF provides nutritional support for individuals with ARDS/ALI, sepsis, inflammatory conditions, or critical illness with GI dysfunction and features an advanced formulation to help manage inflammatory response and support GI absorption and tolerance. This unique formula has high protein to support the demands of metabolic stress; enzymatically hydrolyzed 100% whey protein which may facilitate gastric emptying; a PREBIO1 soluble fiber blend to help promote the growth of beneficial bacteria to help support digestive health; a balanced peptide profile; and 50% of its fat as MCT to promote absorption and tolerance. Peptamen AF is suitable for lactose-intolerant, gluten-free, and low-residue diets, but it is not formulated for individuals with galactosemia; contains milk protein and thus is not appropriate for individuals with Cows' Milk Protein Allergy; and is intended for use under medical supervision.
