Up for your consideration is this beautifully custom matched "Cascade Green" vintage Burlington Northern train set by Tyco/Life-Like w/track in HO scale. This used set, along with the tracks were made around the 1970's to 1980's. This is what you get in this auction:

1 ea. Tyco part #228-17 Power Torque GP20 DC powered Diesel Locomotive decorated in Burlington Northern scheme, road #5628. Looks practically new. Working headlight & w/details (horns/bell/handrails) in the original box (paperwork not included). Will need some traction tires on the drive wheels (I will install some). Has the typical “Power Torque” quirks, like jerky action & hesitation. But considering, it runs well for Tyco.

2 ea. Tyco freight cars: 1 Burlington Northern hopper, part #344G. Stirrups broken/missing on one side; 1 Burlington Northern 50’ plug door boxcar, part #339E. Missing brake wheel. No original boxes.
1 ea. Bachmann Burlington Northern gondola w/2 culvert pipe loads. Stirrup broken on one end. No original box.

1 ea. Life-Like cupola caboose decorated for Burlington Northern & painted in green with white lettering, road #41576 w/box (not original). Missing smoke jack.

15 pcs. of steel track*: 1 ea. 18” Radius Tyco Curved Terminal track (no wiring); 2 ea. 9” Tyco/Life-Like Straight track; 12 ea. 18” Radius Feller/Garnet Curved track. All w/2 ea. rail joiners on each track. Enough for a simple oval w/1 spare curved track left. Track may have some oxidation & missing/broken ties due to age, but still 100% functional.

16 pcs. Tyco bridge & trestle set (trestle only), part #907. Missing the actual bridge. No original box/paperwork/instructions. Will still work to add some “variety” to your set.

*Track is vintage/used & will require cleaning using a track cleaner/eraser (not included). Some track may have cracked or missing plastic ties, which is normal for this age/type of track, but all are still very much usable. There is more than enough track here for a simple oval.

**NOT INCLUDED in this auction: power pack, wiring & paperwork/instructions.

A great train set for the Tyco collector or any HO model railroader...maybe you. Your train friends will be "green" with envy to have a set like this (perfect for St. Patty's day)!

Be advised. These are not toys but hobby quality items. Treat these items with care & they will bring a lifetime of enjoyment. Track ends are sharp & rail joiners are possible choking hazards. Avoid eletrical shock by unplugging power pack when unattended, not in use or during maintenance. It is recommended that children below 14 years of age have competent adult supervision in the assembly & use of this equipment.

SHIPPING: NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. I ONLY SHIP TO UNITED STATES ADDRESSES ONLY. All shipping costs are to be paid by the purchaser (you) prior to shipment of items. For this particular auction I ship using the following method(s) only:

USPS 2-3 Day Priority Mail or Ground Advantage (Use shipping calculator to obtain correct shipping amount).
NO Local Pick-Up (NO EXCEPTIONS!).

SHIPPING INSURANCE: A $2.00 handling fee to cover insurance is included with the shipping cost.

Shipping damage/lost/theft or misdirected packages: All items are packaged carefully before it is shipped out, however, items can still be damaged in transit or worse lost/misdirected or even stolen from your front door. This is beyond my control, so with that said, please contact the appropriate shipping company (USPS or UPS) for any claims that may arise. I will assist as much as I can from my end with your claim.

Combined shipping: I do combine shipping on multiple items. If you plan on purchasing more items from my auctions, please e-mail me & I will give you a revised shipping price to cover all items that you win.

PAYMENT: My accepted method of payment is via PAYPAL ONLY! NO OTHER FORM OF PAYMENTS ACCEPTED! NO EXCEPTIONS! All payments must be received within 5 days of end of auction (unless you have made prior arrangements with me). Please allow 1-3 days from receipt of payment for me to ship your item(s). I will e-mail you once it is shipped out or if I should run into any delays.

RESTRICTIONS: I reserve the right to cancel any bid. If you disagree with my terms, you are not obligated to bid. Simple as that. If you have less than 5 total feedback ratings and/or less than a 90% positive feedback rating, please e-mail me PRIOR to bidding.

RETURNS/WARRANTIES & REFUNDS: All items I sell are sold "as-is" with no warranties. I generally do not take returns or issue refunds. HOWEVER, in those rare instances that there is a problem with an item that is not the fault of a shipping company, I will sometimes issue a partial or full refund minus shipping. I feel this is fair since you will be keeping the item anyway. BUT if I do accept a return I will pay for the return shipping back to me. Returns & refunds are done on a case by case basis, so if there is an issue with an item, send me an e-mail & we will work on a solution so that we are both happy. Which brings me to the next subject.......
