Here is a Pure Water Aquaclean distilled drinking water system model md-4.

I put water in the unit, turned it on. The fan came on. I put a plate on top of the unit, were the cover would go. It held the pressure in and steam was coming out of the unit after a while. It purified the water into steam that came out of the spout on the side.

It is a tested working unit.

You can try and contact the compant and get a replacement lid or use your own lid. I just used a plate with a glass of water on top of it to keep it down and it was able to pressurize and work.
