Hi I am selling some of my odd items I have collected over the years. This vintage WW1 working blackened brass compass, dated 1918 is a rare piece of militaria from Great Britain's Army during the World War I era. Housed in a leather case also dated 1918 this compass is a genuine artifact from the time, making it a highly collectable item for enthusiasts of military history. The compass is maker marked S. Mordan & Co. No 97530 and bears the M.O.D. Broad arrow to the reverse. The transit clasp is in good working order . The leather case is maker marked R Stafford dated 1918 and also bears the broad arrow. The case has a nice long leather carrying strap. The brass compass has some good signs of patina and wear but In general good condition as is the case. Its authenticity and significance as a piece of field gear used during the conflict add to its value as a unique and historical piece of memorabilia.
