This fantastic antique three-drawer cabinet is a late 19th or early 20th-century shop display case specifically designed for H. Wilkes & Co.. Such cabinets were once common fixtures on haberdashery counters, used to organize and showcase specialized sewing needles produced in Redditch, England.

The drawers feature inset glass panels with gold-leaf lettering—a hallmark of high-end Victorian and Edwardian retail displays.

The cabinet is fitted with original drop brass handles, often in "aesthetic" or neoclassical styles popular during the late Victorian

Glass and handles are original top pane of glass has a crack. Unit has a split on the back and it has been re-stained. (see photos as they form part of the description). Bottom drawer has a split and only one drawer has original divisions. These imperfections do not detract from the overall look of this lovely piece and are reflected in the price.
