VINTAGE DELTA MICRO-SET FENCE CAM (PART # 422-04-042-5005)
VINTAGE DELTA MICRO-SET FENCE CAM (PART # 422-04-042-5005) Vintage Delta Micro-set fence which had a curved face on the head casting. As opposed to the later model Delta Jet-lock fence with the straight vertical face on the head castingThe cam is shown in the photos with the locking shaft and knob attached as it would be inside the fence head casting. The part you are buying from this listing is ONLY the round cam that the arrow is pointing to. The shaft and knob are not included. DELTA TABLE SAW MICRO-SET FENCES HAD ONLY TWO MAJOR COMPONENTS INSIDE THE MAIN HEAD CASTING. The first main component was the round cam with the offset pivot hole. This part also had a drilled and tapped hole where the locking lever and knob attached. Delta called this part the “eccentric” and listed it as p/n 422-04-042-5005 The second component was the long narrow rectangular cast iron piece that pivoted on its own dowel pin to press on the fence rail to lock the fence in position. Both of these components have been obsoleted by Delta. This listing is for the replacement round cam (Delta part number 422-04-042-5005). This part was subject to wear at the point on the OD that was in contact with the hardened pad on the rectangular lever. However, a more common problem was when the 3/8-24 fine threads, where the shaft and knob attaches, got stripped out or damaged. There is no good repair for damaged threads on this part, because this part was heat treated to be extremely hard. We have duplicated the original Delta part in every way. Our replacement is CNC machined from tool steel and flame hardened where it slides against the hardened wear pad on the rectangular lever arm that contacts the fence rail.
